(Proverbs 1:1-9) The devotional this morning hit me where it counts, sort of. Taking a little poke at the whole Web/Internet. Basically, with the Internet so prevalent in homes today there is a vast amount of information available to us. All of this information, however, doesn’t give us wisdom, and especially not the kind of wisdom that only comes from God. Solomon was given great wisdom, beyond what we could ever hope to attain, and much of that wisdom is found in the book of Proverbs.
There are so many little glimpses of wisdom found in the book of Proverbs that it seems like it would take a lifetime to really know it and be living it. I was challenged, however, in taking the time to really take in all that wisdom that has been given to us in Proverbs. The call to meditate on it, remember it, and put it into practice. This is something I definitely wish to pursue.
