Amazing Resurrection

(Revelation 1:1-18) This morning as I read John’s words, I was once again reminded of how amazing it is to have a God that has defeated death for us, who loves us so much that we can completely trust with our lives. John was instructed to send a letter to seven churches as whitness to what he saw, for the purpose of encouraging them to persevere in the faith.

Living Faith

(1 Timothy 6:11-21) It still amazes me at times that words written to Timothy in the Bible so easily apply to my own life, and I feel as though it was written directly to me. It can be very easy for even me to be caught up in the worlds push for expanded knowledge. I love to learn and figure out new things. One of the greatest opportunities I have though is to continue to learn what God has layed down in the scriptures.

More Than We Can Endure?

(Hebrews 12:1-13) A question that ran through my mind this morning, as I read this passage, was how often has the scripture been tought to me in out of context references. What I’m getting at is that it would seem in this passage we are always stopped at Hebrews 12:3. As you continue on however in that passage it describes what it really means to persevere, working to meet God’s standards. I’m kind of going back to yesterday’s topic a little.
