wow – I can feel the excitement that you have for God. Thanks for sharing what you were challenged with this weekend.
That kind of accountability that you have with your friend is what I long for and I feel like I’ve been missing from my life. It’s funny because just last week I started praying for someone like that to come into my life. Here is where I struggle as I think about that. I have plenty of friends – but as I think about them, I don’t think that any of them are at the same point as me. I don’t know if they would be able to relate or help me with what I’m dealing with. Maybe that is selfish I don’t know. But, then I think about someone else that has kind of been a mentor to me – and I wonder if that too is a selfish relationship. I struggle with the difference between mentor and friend. What do you think the difference is between a mentor and a friend? How do you find someone that you can have that kind of accountability with?
